QSX15 CM2350 Tier 4 Final Engine Qualification - (2013-27Q)

Course Overview

This Course will provide participants with an understanding of the engine SCR after treatment systems with VGT. The engine has evolved and is also using EGR/ SCR after treatment systems with VGT. Topics include: mechanical and electrical sub-systems, Cooled EGR, exhaust after-treatment, Diesel Particulate Filter, Diesel Oxidization Catalyst and Selective Catalytic Reduction. Components of the class include electronic features and parameters, INSITE diagnostic communication and programming, EDS system and written and hands-on proficiency testing. Upon successful completion of this course the participants will also have the ability to confidently converse with operators / owners, which will enable them to carry out efficient fault finding of the Engine management and EGR/ SCR systems.

Who should attend

Students who have completed a Tier-4i qualification course on either an ISF or ISB Engine and are looking to update their knowledge. A good knowledge of automotive electrical systems and Tier-4i after treatment systems is desirable to gain the most from this course. There is a significant practical element to this course and the student will be expected to fully participate.

Course Objectives

Become familiar with the design, functions, and operation of the CM2350 engines and their after treatment systems. Be capable of troubleshooting and repair of the engine and after treatment system using approved tools and service procedures. Demonstrate competency in locating the latest diagnostic and repair procedures on QuickServe Online and EDS. Demonstrating proper engine and exhaust after treatment system maintenance procedures. Demonstrating knowledge of engine and fuel system clean care practices.
