Course Overview

This course introduces the participants to Cummins Low-kVA generator sets. The course gives an overview of Diesel Engines, Engine components, Engine systems (cooling, lubrication, air intake & exhaust), alternator construction and operation, GenSet PS0500 and PCC1302 control system, InPower Lite, GTEC Transfer Switch and service requirements of Cummins Low-kVA (8-330 kVA) generator sets.

This is an introductory course and is aimed at Sales people, Service Technicians, Engineers and customer users who need an overview of Cummins Low-kVA generator sets.

Course Objectives

On satisfactory completion of the course, the participants will have been provided with an insight of the operation of the engine, alternator and control system of a Generator Set. Participants will also gain skills and knowledge to assist in maintenance, fault finding and repair of Cummins Low-kVA generator sets.
