Course Overview

This course will enable technicians and service engineers to understand the QSB6.7 M marine propulsion engine systems and Smartcraft v2.5 vessel electronics.

Who should attend

This course is aimed at Service Technicians, Engineers and customer users who need an overview of the engine and an in depth understanding of the electronic vessel controls.

Course Objectives

This course gives an overview of the operation, maintenance and repair of the QSB6.7 M marine propulsion engine and how the engine integrates within the Smartcraft v2.5 control and monitoring system. The main bulk of the course is aimed at the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the Smartcraft v2.5 electronic vessel system.

  • QSB6.7 M engine familiarisation, architecture and flows
  • QSB6.7 M engine strip and rebuild: Service tooling and Repair procedures
  • QSB6.7 M on-engine electrical systems
  • QSB6.7 M Smartcraft v2.5 Marine electrical / electronic system.
Pre-requisites

Pre-requisites as per your SPG on QSOL. Available online or through your local Cummins Certified Training Location. Preferably attendees should already be qualified on QSB Tier 3 Midrange products.
