QSK60 CM850/CM2150 MCRS Marine Qualification (2008-04Q)

Course Overview

This Course will ensure participants have a working understanding of the QSK60 MCRS Marine engine to maintenance, repair and troubleshooting level.

Internal Customers, External Customers, Experienced Technicians.

Course Objectives

The participants at the end of the training will be able to confidently maintain, repair and trouble shoot all aspects of the QSK 60 Marine engine, including engine and systems, electronic engine management systems, C-Command control systems (to user level) and the Insite diagnostic tool. The participants will be able to prove their understanding of the QSK60 MCRS Marine package by passing both written and practical tests to a level of competency as required by Cummins Limited.

Course Content

QSK60 engine familiarisation, architecture and flows
QSK60 engine strip and rebuild: Service tooling and Repair procedures
CM850 MCRS Fuel system function, operation and components
QSK60 on-engine electrical and electronic systems
Use of Insite service tool
An introduction only to C-Command
Practical test out and written test

Pre-requisites

PLEASE NOTE: In order to qualify on the Marine course codes a further 4 day course is required on C-Command.

Please refer to your smart program guide from QSOL to see which pre requisites are required to be completed for this course. Students must provide their own Clean Safety Shoes for working on the Engine in the Workshop.
